I was on my way to a client’s house to measure for new furniture when I realized my Stanley tape measure wasn’t in the car. I quickly ran into the nearest hardware store and grabbed the first tape measure I saw. Thank heaven it was this one!!! I will never go back to my Stanley.
It reels in and out as smooth as silk, is very easy to read, and is printed in the traditional horizontal manner on the front and VERTICALLY on the back. Why aren’t all tape measures made like this? No more tilting your head to the side when measuring a vertical surface to read the notches! And for remedial math “wizards” like me, they have printed both the total inches and the conversion to feet for every inch (ex. 76″ and 6′4″).
It’s smaller and lighter than my Stanley too. I’m afraid my Stanley has become the backup, though I think if I ever lose my Komelon, I’ll simply have to buy another.

After using this tape for 6 months of regular home use, I love it. The action is smooth, the lock works well, and corrosion has not been an issue at all.
There is no reason to buy the new low-quality Stanley tapes when this one is available.
